Full members of the Academy (academicians) may be individuals in science, education, the arts and sports, religious dignitaries, or businessmen who have made internationally recognized personal contributions to the development of various areas of human activities, who take part in the Academy's projects and recognize its Charter.
Corresponding members of Academy may be individuals in science, education, the arts, sports religious dignitaries, as well as businessmen who have made substantial personal contributions to the development of various areas of human activities, who take part in the Academy's projects and recognize its Charter.
Scientific, educational, industrial and arts institutions, sports societies and other organizations, whose work has received public recognition, may be also accepted into the Academy as collective members.
Members of the Academy have the right to set up, under the Academy's umbrella, institutes, creative laboratories and workshops in various fields of science, the arts and folk crafts as well as in sports and other spheres of human activities. The Presidium of the Academy adopts the Charters of such institutions, creative laboratories and workshops.
The Academy's Board for Coordination of Fundamental Research promotes fundamental work in the areas of science and the arts.

The scientific and cultural programs of the Academy are mainly carried out by associated institutes of the Academy and its members, in conjunction with other leading organization and firms in our country and abroad. The number of such programs corresponds approximately to the number of the Academy's institutes, over one hundred in total.

There are Science Councils under the Academy which consider doctoral dissertations. The Academy also has a post-graduate school.
Members of the Academy make outstanding contributions to prestigious international arts projects by performing in renowned theaters and concert halls or designing monuments and sculptures worldwide.
Members of the Academy, leading figures of the Russian Orthodox Church, also contribute to its growing reputation.
The Academy takes an active part in international women's and youth movements.
Leading world athletes represent the Academy in international contests winning Olympic, World and European medals; they participate in popular sport events and serve as role models for younger generation. Many members of the Academy head sports schools in various countries.
Every year members of the Academy publish dozens of monographs and textbooks in various languages.
Several magazines are published under the aegis of the Academy and its units. The most popular are "Clinical Medicine" and "The Ukrainian Journal of Polymers".
The outstanding activities of some members of the Academy are reflected in international reference and biographical literature, such as the "Dictionary of International Biography", "Men of Achievement", "The Who's Who of Intellectuals", "Who's Who in Music", "International Man of the Year", "Five Hundred Leaders of Influence" and other publications in Great Britain, the USA, Italy, France, Germany and Japan.
Many members of the Academy have been granted national and international honorary titles, prizes and awards.
